MDVIP is the national network of physicians who practice preventive and
personalized healthcare, not just the detection and treatment of disease as in
most traditional primary care practices. With prevention as the cornerstone of
its program, MDVIP has proven that its carefully chosen affiliated physicians
provide exceptional care and achieve exceptional outcomes. These outcomes
include lower hospitalization rates. MDVIP currently serves more than 74,000
patients through over 221 affiliated physicians located in 22 states plus the
District of Columbia (Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida,
Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New
York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas,
Virginia and Washington, D.C.).

MDVIP employs a very rigorous selection process utilizing proprietary,
predictive analytics and regression analysis to identify physicians who qualify
for participation in the MDVIP program. MDVIP then provides physicians with the
support needed to transition their practice to the MDVIP model, which limits
the practice to 600 patients, and then assists affiliated physicians in
offering state-of-the-art healthcare that focuses on wellness. In a practice of
this size, physicians have the time to provide prevention, early detection, and
treatment for all their patients, addressing all stages of healthcare. This
level of care is not possible in a traditional primary care practice of 2,500
patients.

In return for exceptional preventive care, patients participating in MDVIP
affiliated practices pay a membership fee of $125 to $150 a month annualized at
$1,500 to $1,800. Patients receive the state-of-the-art MDVIP physical, which
includes personal and family history, identification of risk factors,
laboratory testing, EKG and screenings related to mental status, exercise,
nutrition and sleep; vision, hearing and pulmonary function testing; and a
review of all medication.
Based on the results of the physical and a proprietary Health Risk Assessment
(HRA), a wellness plan is created to not only address risk, but to proactively
identify and meet a patient’s particular health goals. Patients are also given
a CD that contains all of their relevant health data for use in an emergency
situation, and their own personal web site that allows them to track and trend
their wellness results over time.
Patients benefit from reciprocity with all MDVIP affiliated physicians in the
network. If a patient is traveling and needs urgent medical care, and they are
in the vicinity of an MDVIP affiliated physician, they will be seen and cared
for with the same attention and service as if they were with their own doctor.
Being part of a smaller practice focused on preventive care also provides
secondary benefits and services to patients such as:
• Same or next day appointments that start on time
• Unhurried visits, unlike visits in traditional practices which typically last
between eight to ten minutes
• 24-hour physician availability
• Telephone calls answered by trained staff rather than automated systems
• Enhanced coordination of specialist referrals and treatment
• Prescription facilitation and home delivery (where available)
• Enhanced insurance claim facilitation
• Travel medical services
• Dedicated support personnel
• Private reception area

MDVIP’s prevention and personalized care model makes it possible for
exceptional physicians to provide exceptional care because it gives them the
time to focus on the patient, not on the system. The MDVIP model enables
physicians to love practicing medicine again, in an environment in which they
are trusted, respected and valued. MDVIP puts physicians back in control of
their lives, professionally and personally. MDVIP liberates physicians from the
current financial constraints of the healthcare system because the majority of
an affiliated physician’s income is derived from the annual membership fees.
MDVIP affiliated physician services include:
• Market potential analysis, preliminary demographic analysis, and telephone
patient satisfaction survey
• Extensive practice analysis to ascertain compatibility with the MDVIP program
• Ongoing Federal and State regulatory review
• Comprehensive practice transition planning
• Continuity of care coordination
• Inbound/outbound call center activities
• Event planning
• Practice support from on-site MDVIP staff
• Marketing and public relations programs
• Staff training
• Insurance review and support
• Electronic Medical Records
• Billing and collection of membership fees
• Customized practice development plan to generate and retain new members
• Ongoing newsletters for members
• Quality control reviews including patient satisfaction surveys
