My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My objective as your personal physician is to form a long-term partnership with you to help you achieve your health goals and to live a full and healthy life. As an MDVIP-affiliated internist and fellowship-trained geriatrician, I appreciate the importance of forming close relationships with my patients. I have the time to talk with you and listen to your concerns, review your records and develop a wellness plan with you that will help you improve and maintain your health. My clinical practice emphasizes thoughtful, evidence-based preventive care and treatment plans tailored to fit your specific needs and preferences.

I have extensive experience caring for adults of all ages in a variety of healthcare settings (ranging from the office to the rehabilitation setting and patients’ homes), giving me a particular appreciation for the importance of good communication with other clinicians. My passion is supporting my patients to lead independent and active lives into their 80s, 90s and beyond. In addition to my broad expertise in geriatric and general internal medicine, I have interests in cardiovascular health, diabetes, women’s health and preventive medicine.

My MDVIP-affiliated primary care practice serves patients from the greater Baltimore area and Maryland, as well as nearby communities. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices. I am board certified in internal and geriatric medicine.

Just saw my MDVIP doctor last week to go over bloodwork results. She is extremely easy to talk to and I was really impressed by the time she gave me as well as her invaluable feedback. It really made me feel good after I had departed her office.

I fell off my horse two years ago, I was 75, just when I was changing mdvip doctors. I had not yet had my first visits with Dr Amy freedman. I was hospitalized and in three days sent to a rehab for a month. I had fractured my acetabulum. I didn’t feel good about the rehab doctor and the pt I was having so I contacted my new Mdvip doctor who responded right away, She was able to see my x… See more

With documented White Coat Hypertension, I look for a calming bedside manner in a physician and that's exactly what I found in Dr. Amy Freedman. She is a pure joy to work with and approaches healthcare as a team effort so we can make joint decisions together in a nonthreatening way. I'm so thrilled to have found her when my MDVIP physician retired...I knew he would recommend someone… See more

I feel that I have a great relationship with my MDVIP doctor. After testing positive for Covid last year, I called my doctor and she prescribed Paxlovid. No big thing, but then she called me a few days later to just see how I was doing. After talking with friends, I realized how special it was that she called me to check in. Most doctors don't call back just to follow-up. I am blessed to… See more

Dr. Freedman is a very caring and compassionate person. She listens - I mean really listens to what you say. She spends as much time as you need to answer your questions. I know she truly cares about my physical and mental health.

I was with Dr Solomon for over 30 years as a patient. I loved his bed side manners and how he cared for me through my difficult heath issues and few surgeries.

When the practice changed to VIP. I was very hesitant and not sure. I stuck with him and the program and was happy I did. Then another change, he decided to retire. Oh boy, my concerns were very high. I was thinking of leaving… See more
