Dr Cox is a caring person by nature. He is genuinely interested in the well being of his patients. He takes the time to listen and always discusses all aspects of the issue at hand. He goes out of his way to talk to you and understand the problem even if you feel it is a minor one. For example, recently I had an eye infection and called his office to prescribe an anti-biotc for me to pick up… See more

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My personal philosophy as an internal medicine physician has always been “patient first” with the goal of treating current health issues and, just as important, preventing new ones. I have always strived to offer a personalized approach to health care and, being in partnership with MDVIP, will help me to continue with this approach.
I am affiliated with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas which has a history of more than 50 years of excellence in health care. My practice is made up of patients with a variety of health care needs – from patients preparing for their next triathlon to older patients trying to live longer lives with a better quality of life as the aging process takes place. I also take care of hearing impaired patients. Good health and wellness mean different things to different patients. To some, it means weight loss for preventing or controlling diabetes, improving nutrition and finding a workable exercise program to reduce cardiovascular risk, and to others, it means smoking cessation or receiving assistance and education for the care of aging parents.
While my practice is located in North Dallas, I see patients from a variety of locations – from the Plano-Frisco-Allen area to DeSoto, Cedar Hill and Grand Prairie. During my 22 years of practice I have been very fortunate to develop good relationships with many medical and surgical specialists in the area. I have found these relationships vital as a primary care internal medicine physician.
My affiliation with MDVIP will allow me to continue my “patient first” policy as we navigate the craziness of health care. I love caring for my patients and being able to provide them with optimal care is my number one priority. My affiliation with MDVIP will help me to continue this for years to come.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Cox
Dr Cox has been my PCP for almost a decade. He is best Dr I have ever consulted with. He takes the time to listen and curate a treatment plan and being very proactive on what’s ahead when it comes to prevention.
"Hello and goodbye". That is just about all I ever heard from my previous doctors before I was fortunate enough to find Dr. William Cox.
Dr. Cox takes the time to speak with me and listens to my concerns. I don't feel rushed when I am in his office, as compared to other doctors.
I also find it comforting to have his personal phone number in case anything comes… See more
The first time I had a heart attack they had to jump start my heart. When I came to it was 6 or 7 am and there was Dr Cox standing over me asking how I was doing. The comfort I felt having him there can not be described. My brother later told me he must be a special Doctor that not many would do that any more. He will always be special to me. Rick Lively
My husband had a rare neurodegenerative disease. There is no cure for PSP. Nothing any neurologist could do anything to stop the progression of this disease. There's no road map to suggest the specific time line. If not for the support of Dr. William Cox we would not have had as positive experience of the end of life path we were on for the last 4 years. No one in my life has been… See more
