My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, you will be treated in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and you will benefit from the full extent of my medical education, professional interest in emerging treatment options and relationships with local specialists. Some of my areas of focus include prevention of atherosclerosis to decrease the risk of heart attacks and strokes, coaching patients on ways to adopt a healthier lifestyle despite barriers and exploring nonpharmacological treatments for issues before prescribing medication.
As one of the few internal medicine doctors in the greater Cleveland/Akron/Canton area offering this personalized healthcare approach, I provide care that can help support your well-being, whether you are managing a chronic condition, have wellness goals to reach or simply want to maintain your health in the years ahead. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments.
My practice is located in Fairlawn, Ohio, close to I-77 exits and right behind the Summit Mall. This location conveniently serves patients from Medina, Wadsworth, Akron, Bath, Canton, Copley, Cuyahoga Falls and the southern Cleveland suburbs. I am affiliated with Summa Health System and Cleveland Clinic Akron General.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Phillips
Dr. Phillips has made me feel secure and welcome to contact her any time. I had problems with sudden very high blood pressure before she was my doctor (who told me that the only reason for such high blood pressure was due to using drugs). I was furious with him as I didn't like taking the meds that he prescribed let alone taking illegal drugs. My neighbor's doctor was Dr.… See more
Beginning in 2021 and into 2022, I had several serious health issues. A friend of mine recommended I see Dr. Phillips. I'm so grateful he did.
She is one of the kindest and most professional physicians I've ever known. She has repeatedly gone "above and beyond " in her care for me. Dr. Phillips and her staff (particularly Betty) have truly been a blessing.

Dr. Phillips, you always listen and always are caring, that is why I have been a patient since 2008. Thanks for all your support.
I have been in Dr. Phillips care for many years and she has been effective, caring and very helpful to my overall health.
However, what really exemplified her medical skills is when I referred a close friend who had a number of life threatening issues and Dr. Phillips
systematically solved each problem and in my opinion saved his life!
He is now healthy thanks to Dr.… See more
About 2 hours after I came home from gall bladder removal surgery I became very cold and began to shake severely and uncontrollably. My wife texted Dr Phillips and she immediately answered to take me to the emergency room and not to go back to the hospital but to the closest ER because there wasn’t any time to waste. Being able to have access to and receive a response from my doctor that… See more
Dr. Phillips has been my PCP for many years and has helped me through many health issues. She is very knowledgeable, empathetic, explains things, refers me to excellent specialists, and intervenes with lightning speed when speed is needed. I feel that we work together as trusted teammates. She is there for me.
The moment I point to would be when Dr. Phillips directed me to Dr. Campbell at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Phillips knows this, but as background, I've had Prostate Cancer that prompted my getting a Radical Prostatectomy followed several years later by Salvage Radiation. I then had a round of Bladder Cancer surgery. In talking to my Prostate Cancer doctor, Dr. McGovern at Mass General… See more
I started going to Dr. Melodie Phillips years before she joined MDVIP. As her practice grew, no doubt having to do with her caring expertise, she had less and less time to spend with her patients. I have continued with Dr. Phillips as my MDVIP PCP, and I have enjoyed the enhanced quality and time spent with my visits and annual physical. I have a number of health problems and take quite a… See more
Dr. Phillips is a true professional. She is detailed oriented and strives to understand her patient’s medically. She is a critical thinker and has great intuition. 100% one of the smartest physicians I have ever met. She prides her practice on patient privacy. Without a doubt, I would not trust anyone else to care for me.
