Hendrik F. Breytenbach, MD

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I have always believed that to be a good coach to others, you have to play the game yourself. This is especially true in medicine. In order to encourage my patients to improve their health by eating correctly and exercising regularly, I must also strive to do so in my own life.

My passion, as your personal family physician, is to have that same team approach. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, sometimes referred to as a concierge medicine practice, I can bring my expertise (whether it is in treating your hypertension, diabetes or helping you lose weight) to the table. I am excited to not only focus on helping you stay healthy, but most definitely to go the extra mile toward improving your health if you do fall ill.

I have been blessed to work for more than 15 years in our North County district, and thus have established a great working relationship with nearby specialists. Furthermore, as the only board-certified family practice physician who manages my own patients’ treatment at our local Twin Cities Community Hospital, I am a strong believer in continuity of care. Having your own physician, who knows you and your medical history, manage any needed hospital treatment could make all the difference. I’ve always wanted to be a family doctor. Because I get to play a role in all aspects of my patients’ health, I have the privilege of fostering a personal relationship with each patient and focus on preventive care.
