Testimonials from patients of Dr. Jacobs

from DOROTHY in NC March 21, 2024 for James W. Jacobs, MD

In February of 2019 Steve and I were at the beach and once again I was sick with asthmatic bronchitis. My medical doctor was not concerned that I had had 13 episodes in 4 years. Steve didn’t want me to go back to him so he contacted Dr Jacobs. He explained what had been going on for years and how bad my cough was. Dr Jacobs said can you be here at 3:00 from the beach. That was my first visit… See more

Wanda Hilliard-I was 32/33 when I begin seeing Dr. James Jacobs. I did not realize how young he was. He was taking new patients at the practice and I was young and looking for a primary doctor. He has not changed and I am approaching 66 years old.. He handled my medical need with a professional touch at all times. He is really a great doctor and I hope his medical future is as great as… See more

I got Covid in December, 2022 and stupidly flew home to North Carolina.
The congestion and inflammation in my head expanded with the high altitudes and I had a panic attack and went into a depression.
It was a long Covid-induced condition and it was horrid..
It was such a relief to talk and text my family doctor, James Jacob’s.
He was there for me offering explanations… See more

A few weeks ago I made an appointment with Dr. Jacobs to try and find about why I could not get my nose to dry up. I felt great but I just couldn't get my nose to stop running. The Nurse came to my car and gave me a covid test. Low and behold I was positive. I never did feel bad. About ten minutes after I got my test results Dr. Jacobs came out and stood by my car in the cold and gave me… See more

Recently my wife passed away and while very sick with cancer her treatments seemed to be working. Unfortunately, she failed very suddenly. Dr Jacobs was a great comfort to me in handling the initial shock of the loss. His quiet way was truly helpful.

In addition, during the early days of her sickness we were facing many care decisions that we were not sure how to handle. Dr Jacobs… See more

I appreciate Dr. Jacob's caring manner, especially his willingness to support my actions even when he disagrees with my decision. His staff is responsive and kind, making "going to the doctor" a pleasant experience. I consider him a part of the team that enables me to continue as an entrepreneur even though I am 77 years old!

from Ray in NC February 6, 2024 for James W. Jacobs, MD

I had had a couple of episodes of rapid irregular heart beats associated with some dizziness.
It never lasted long enough or occurred during normal office hours to document the arrhythmia which I thought was atrial fibrillation. Then I had an episode and went promptly to Dr. Jacobs office and was able to get an ekg which confirmed atrial fib. I appreciated the prompt attention which… See more

Dr. Jacobs is consistently thorough, attentive, professional, and caring. We have an excellent relationship, and I greatly appreciate the depth of his knowledge. He can always recall from memory a study and results that are relevant to my questions; amazing?

I consider myself very fortunate to be in his care.

from Mark in NC January 20, 2024 for James W. Jacobs, MD

This is easy. On a Sunday, I was in so much pain that I was banging my head on the wall. Dr. Jacobs brought a pain prescription to my house. It's been years, but I will never forget that.
