My MDVIP Doctor is Lillian Cohn in Philadelphia. I had a visit last week to review some blood results and some followup on a couple of medical issues. I left with the same feeling I always do--this doctor cares. She understands my general aversion to acknolwledging medical issues and maybe my own mortality as a form of weakness. She cares but on follow-up she doesn't let me get away… See more

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My goal as an internist is to partner with my patients so they can become better advocates for their healthcare needs and participate more in the medical decisions that can help them live healthier and happier lives. I manage both acute and chronic diseases and assist with end-of-life decisions. Because of my smaller practice size, I have time to closely listen to my patients and provide proactive medical recommendations and emotional support. My MDVIP-affiliated practice also offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. My greatest asset is my ability to advocate for my patients' needs, and I am available for all of their questions and concerns. As a private doctor, I coordinate care through our complex healthcare system, and in so doing, I am able to help improve the overall wellness of my patients and limit unnecessary services. I have an honest and direct approach to communication and am sensitive to the different needs and goals of individuals.
My MDVIP-affiliated internal medicine practice has earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Level III Certification and has repeatedly achieved above 95% nationwide for quality. This recognition acknowledges an effective way of organizing primary care that emphasizes care coordination and communication in order to transform primary care into "what patients want it to be."

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Cohn
The visit she pushed me to try Mounjaro. It changed my whole life. I am forever grateful to her. Pauline Osher
My name is Clara (Claire) Ruscica. I have been a patient of Dr. Cohn for a very long time, and in all these years not once has she disappointed me or made me question her opinion. In addition, and a very important point, is that I think Dr. Cohn is very intelligent; she is also very caring and will research anything that she is not 100% sure of. I am going to celebrate my 88th birthday in… See more
I am happy to be a patient of Lillian Cohn MD. She has helped me integrate into the medical community
having moved here from another MDVIP physician in Boston in June 2021. And yes she rescued me from a trip to the ER because she has a cooler head than I. And she even found me a local friend among her patient pool. I feel very lucky to have her.

Hello my name is Pamela Minyard and I'm long overdue in sharing my thoughts regarding Dr. Lilian Cohn, my doctor. Dr. Cohn has been my internist for more than thirty years. I first met Dr. Cohn while she was during medical rounds at Pennsylvania Hospital where I was employed as a critical care nurse. Her ability to gain respect from colleagues and patients were notable. I always admired her… See more
Dr. Cohn is available 24/7, not only to provide expert care, but also to actually listen to you. She is an incredible diagnostician and never settle for less than getting her patient to a 100% level of what each can achieve. I know this first-hand. Dr. Cohn and I are a team and my health has improved with age rather than declined because of her care and advice. Dr. Cohn has a preventive… See more
At our first meeting, Lillian Cohn, was the Medical Director of one of the City of Philadelphia’s Health Care Centers. I was working as a Registered Nurse at the time.
Impressed with her “bedside manner” and on the recommendation of a good friend; when I needed a primary care physician, I contacted Dr. Cohn.
By this time Dr. Cohn was in private practice and I was relieved to note… See more
My husband and I have been under the care of Lillian Cohn in Philadelphia for the past 2 years. When we made the change to a MDVIP physician, our specific goals were to consolidate our doctors into one medical network, find a physician who listens to our concerns and makes appropriate recommendations to specialists in addition to being responsive. Dr.Cohn has been all these things to us.… See more
I have known Dr. Lillian Cohn for several years - when neither of us had grey hair! She is knowledgeable, always available and compassionate but also maintains standards of health and has never pampered me. (That's a good thing!) There are two situations that stand out in the history of my relationship with her. The first is when I got breast cancer. She was with me every step of the… See more
Dr. Lillian Cohn years ago astutely noticed from a simple urine test that my calcium uptake was abnormal. She sent me to. an endocrinologist, who, after scans, did surgery and discovered that I had an extra parathyroid gland that had gone bonkers. Calcium was being leached from my bones. I am grateful to Dr Cohn for being so observant. Today I am a strong, athletic 78-year-old who continues to… See more
