Dr. Cram has a walking program that goes around a lake that is close to us; however that did not fit into our time schedule. We knew that his urging of our walking was needed, so since we live about 1/2 mile from our indoor swimming pool in which we do water exercise 5 days a week, we began walking down to exercise in the pool for 45 minutes each morning, then walk home, which is another 1/2 mile. This has helped both in losing a few pounds, but we think has helped us physically and mentally. I had serious foot surgery several years ago and am just recently able to walk that far comfortably, which is wonderful. In fact, for my 80th birthday, we hiked several miles of the Conintental Divide Trail which is about 11,250 ft in elevation!! Beautiful up there!!
