I'm sure I have written to you regarding a person very important in my life: Dr. D. Jeffrey Duckham.

Hello, I'm sure I have written to you regarding a person very important in my life: Dr. D. Jeffrey Duckham. What I noticed recently is yet another brilliant method he employs to motivate me, and I'm sure other patients have noticed Jeff's personalized approach to addressing common issues: for example, weight gain. Smart people know its not healthy, formerly great looking people want to return as much as possible to the days of looking good without intrusive methods. Obviously, the right answer is diet and exercise. So, for a guy with an ego like mine, my doc (Duckham) won't lecture. After a general checkup, review of medication, I forgot to mention that I was gaining weight rapidly. He looked at me, grabbed my hand, and slapped it. :) He knew without hesitation that historically his discussions (lectures) were not yielding the proper outcome -- weight loss. So, he embarrassed me into starting! How dare he :) In front of all his lovely assistants I've known for over 20 years. There are few men in my life who will tell me the truth (fully), but Dr. Duckham will always be 100 honest with me, and for that I am grateful. Oh, BTW, I lost several pounds since that day and am heading off to the pool now. He and his wife hike in Marin where I live. I have no excuses. He doesn't make any for himself, or me. Thanks,
