But Dr. Heinegg goes out of his way to make sure you get the care you deserve no matter what time of day and to make sure you get seen not in weeks ( lol) but within a day or so. It better to see someone who know your health issues and cares about your well-being than going to and emergency room or urgent care where they don't know you all all your history to treat you the best. It is a pleasure to write and evaluate Dr. Philip Heinegg. Aka Dr Phil. My husband and I have been his patients for years. We used to live in Larchmont, but now live in Lakeville, CT in the NW corner of CT. We spend the winters in Palm Springs,CA. I hear horror stories about people trying to reach their MD. He is always available and gets back to us in minutes. My one remarkable story is that a few years ago I returned to Larchmont and had a terrible cough. I called and he ordered a cough medicine that had hydro condone in it. I jokingly said, “Are you trying to turn me into a drug addict?” I took 3 teaspoons of it and became so depressed. I usually don’t cry in front of anyone. I was sooooo depressed and suicidal. He came over to my apartment and assured me that it was the medicine. He brought me a beautiful book that I have read many times. He kept telling me that it was the medicine. I hate to think about it if he hadn’t been there for me. I have a friend who said that many in doctor’s office are tarantulas. That is not the case in his office. The staff is always on the ball. I can go on and on, but I will end by saying that he should be cloned. Who has access to their doctor 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. I know that we are not just a number to him.

Meet Philip C. Heinegg, MD

I am a family medicine physician with a lifelong interest in preventive medicine and holistic care. Through my participation in MDVIP’s unique program of personalized healthcare, I have been able to take the time needed to help my patients identify and achieve their goals in order to enjoy improved health. My education and experience have shown me that true healing requires a genuine doctor-patient relationship based on mutual understanding and trust. My patients and I also have the time to focus on more than their immediate needs and chronic conditions; we emphasize prevention and wellness and address key areas, like cardiovascular health, hypertension, diabetes prevention, nutrition, fitness and emotional well-being.

I have served the Larchmont, Westchester County community for over 28 years. In my MDVIP-affiliated primary care practice, patients can schedule same-day appointments, and I can make house calls for those who cannot get to my office. My MDVIP-affiliated practice also offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I am affiliated with Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut and Montefiore New Rochelle in New York. I am fluent in English, French and Spanish with working knowledge of Italian and German. Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
