Roy L. Ruff, MD

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I would like to have a partnership with you.  As your personal physician, I will share my 35 years of medical experience in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and sleep disorders. Together, we can achieve your very best health - preventive health - as well as management of your medical problems, no matter how small or complex. You and I will work as a team to identify your needs and goals, and I will also advocate for you in our increasingly complex healthcare system.

I will impart my expertise in nutrition management and exercise training, which are the cornerstones of prevention and staying well. Whether 30 or 80 years of age, it is important to take charge of your health. In my personalized healthcare practice, sometimes compared to a concierge medical practice, I am available whenever you need me and have the time and resources to help guide you on the path to wellness.

My primary care practice serves the North Shore of Boston, including Beverly, Peabody, Salem, Danvers, Wenham and Manchester areas of Massachusetts. My office is located on the campus of Beverly Hospital, where I am in close proximity to visit you if you are hospitalized. In addition to internal medicine, I provide pulmonary and sleep assessments and management services. I enjoy sharing recipes, cooking techniques, gardening tips and exercise training advice to help you reach your health goals.
