During my routine annual physical, Dr. David Jayne, pointed out that my PSA was 3.6. I said “isn’t anything below 4.0 acceptable”. He said that is true, but you have always been 3.0, so something has happened. Most likely you have an infection, but I want you to get evaluated by a urologist to see what has happened. The urologist said it is probably an infection, so we will load you up with an antibiotic and test again in a couple months. I said I wanted to know sooner, so they did a biopsy of the prostate and found it was cancer. Thanks to Dr. Jayne’s observation in seeing the abnormal part of an otherwise “normal” number made a difference in finding the cancer early rather than allowing the cancer grow unchecked until it could have been a lot more serious.

I truly believe that my role as your doctor is to be with you along this journey we call “Life.” I will be there to help you through the tough times we all face and to aid you in making what may be difficult decisions by giving you the best information I have gleaned from study and experience. I will be there to help plan your health goals and be there to encourage and support you while you attain them.

I am open to using all modalities to help you live life to the fullest potential whether that is Medical Acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, Hormone Replacement Therapy or traditional Western Medicine. I know that treating mind and body separately is not possible and true healing only occurs when both are addressed.

Since we are all on Earth for “The blink of an eye,” I know if we work together we can commit to living the longest, richest, fullest and happiest life possible which is what the essence of life reflects. Please join me on this adventure as each one of you helps complete my life.

Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

David is one of the good guys. My experience with personal physicians prior to meeting David was their need to run myriad tests (to absolve them of using any type of actual onboard knowledge) or they simply crossed themselves and blessed you out the door. I met David via a business situation, but was immediately put at each because he was cerebral and because he 'wanted to know.'
