My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

As an internal medicine physician, I have a passion for comprehensive, personalized patient care. I knew at an early age that I wanted to be a doctor, and I genuinely believe that this profession is a calling. As your personal MDVIP-affiliated physician, we will cultivate a wellness plan that is tailored to your healthcare needs and goals. A key component of this plan is treating the entire person, not just the symptoms. As a primary care doctor, I have time to focus on prevention and helping people live more vibrant, active and healthy lives. I work tirelessly to give my patients the attention and medical care I would want for my family members.

I have strong relationships with specialists at Johns Hopkins, Greater Baltimore Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Medical Center and        am able to get quick consultations when needed. I was honored to be selected by my colleagues as a “Baltimore Top Doctor” 2020 and 2021.

I am affiliated with Johns Hopkins Hospital and serve Baltimore County, Baltimore City and the surrounding areas.

Amy Byrd had been my doctor for a number of years prior to joining MDVIP. Amy is an astute practitioner who aspires to excellence which is the absolute quality I look for in a physician. As a former ICU/CCU nurse, I spent the majority of my career in the health care field representing doctors and health care providers in MA and ME evaluating best care practices. I believe that Amy is committed… See more

My husband and I both have Dr. Byrd as our primary care physician. My husband has many medical medical conditions and Dr. Byrd listens empathically to his updates and then addresses them one by one. She has also been a wonderful referral source for us. In addition, neither my husband or I have ever had such thorough annual physicals, that truly covered us from head to toe. I could relay many… See more
