My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

As an internal medicine physician practicing in South Jersey for over 15 years, my passion is to provide patients with highly personalized care and attention which emphasizes prevention and wellness.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice has a smaller patient base, allowing me more focused time to spend with each patient. Additionally, this affiliation provides resources for advanced preventive screenings, up to date diagnostic tools and an Annual Wellness Program aimed at preventing illness and maintaining good health. Together, we will utilize these advances to help treat and slow progression of current chronic conditions.

Practicing comprehensive medicine requires time to develop a close relationship between the individual patient and their physician. This time is critical for reviewing records, performing thorough exams, making diagnoses, coordinating care with specialists and formulating a plan together to meet your health goals. I enjoy educating my patients on their current health issues and partnering with them to contrive an individualized but manageable treatment plan.

As a military trained physician, you will benefit from the full extent of my education, expertise, compassion and understanding. My special interests include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, infectious disease and bone/joint health. I take great pride in being one of few practioners still caring for their own patients during hospitalizations and have admitting privileges at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin and affiliation with Community Medical Center in Toms River. My personal interests include travel, sports, cars and spending time with family.

He is not like other Doctors who keep their face buried in their lap top… See more

I have been with the Atlanticare healthcare sytem. The doctors there do not care about their patients. It's a system that you get lost in and can never get in touch with your doctor. The office staff are nasty. I finally found Dr. Romano with MDVIP
