Dr. Ann, as we have come to call her, has been our GP for the past fifteen years. We followed her into her MDVIP practice. I do appreciate that Ann Collins is so preventive oriented. Because of her very early advice, my Type 2 diabetes has always been controlled. I have met other people whose doctors waited until their blood sugar was very high - in one case the person passed out! The first time my blood sugar was slightly above where it should be, Metformin was prescribed for me. This was a great idea. My family history influenced her decision to deal with this immediately. I can't say enough about my wonderful, conscientious doctor.

You will be nurtured and supported in a warm, welcoming, and unhurried environment that brings ease to your busy schedule. Understanding your priorities, your family, and community supports and stressors allows me to personalize your care. We will effectively partner to treat your current health challenges and work together to prevent new ones.

I am board certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine. My personal practice of yoga, mindfulness, and organic whole food nutrition teaching allows us to take your medical care outside of the exam room, providing you with tools and experiences of nourished living. My passion is to support your well-being using less medication when possible.

I offer expertise in pediatrics, elder-care, adult medicine, executive medicine, diabetes care and prevention, cardiovascular health, stress/mental health/addiction issues, and women’s health. Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
