My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

Too many people today feel that medicine has become a detached and impersonal experience. For that reason, I have affiliated with MDVIP, and their national network of physicians. I have never forgotten the words I learned early in my training: “To Cure Sometimes, to Relieve Often, to Comfort Always.”

From the first time I heard these words, almost 30 years ago, I knew they would be my guide in providing care for my patients. While this may seem like an old-fashioned notion, I consider it to be sorely absent in the modern practice of medicine. Diagnosing and treating illness is much more than ordering tests and administering medications. Treating the whole person, as well as the disease, is supposed to be the central tenet of medicine.

Being a female internal medicine physician provides me with the opportunity to practice medicine following the guiding principle that the patient is the center of all that we do. This is what sets apart the MDVIP experience from the traditional primary care practice. Prompt and on-time appointments, excellent educational resources, and individualized treatment plans developed for every patient, means that you benefit from care that helps keep you well, not just treat you when you are ill. You get old-fashioned personal attention as well as the opportunity to use some of the newest technology. Most importantly, you will feel like a person, not a part on an assembly line.

For me, taking care of patients is both a calling and a privilege. I look forward to partnering with you and I invite you and your family to join my practice.

from Deirdre in PA March 20, 2020 for Annmarie Ray, MD

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you about my experience at your facility. My family and I are treated so well and the experience with Dr Ray and her staff is amazing. She is very attentive and so helpful. I cannot compliment the staff on the level of care they gave enough. It truly was an awesome experience. I wanted to make sure I was able to tell you how wonderful you truly are and I… See more

I have been a patient of Dr. Rays before she joined MDVIP. I felt comfortable and confident in her diagnosis and prescriptions.
My husband was with another primary care physician and was having falls and high blood sugar readings. The DR. checked his vitals, told him not to fall and come back in a few months. When my husband came to MDVIP and Dr. Ray she immediately wanted to find a… See more

Thank goodness a good friend recommended Dr. Annmarie Ray to me when I was looking for a doctor. I have been very lucky. She has spent time knowing who I am not just what I have. It shows when she helps me create plans for tackling my wellness approach. When I needed an oncologist, she found me a wonderful doctor that would match my needs medically and psychologically. She hears what I am… See more

from Denise in PA March 6, 2018 for Annmarie Ray, MD

Even before Dr. Ray joined MDVIP she exhibited the traits/practices of what MDVIP stands for. Her time with a patient has never been rushed. This may have caused her problems when she was in a regular practice, since it's expected to spend 10 to 15 min with a patient, but that never stopped her from giving every patient the time and attention they needed (even if that meant an hour).… See more

from Marjorie in PA March 5, 2018 for Annmarie Ray, MD

I am so appreciative of the time Dr. Ray spends with me. I am generally doctor-phobic, but Dr. Ray makes me feel more at ease about going to the doctor. She not only makes me feel like an important patient but treats me like a friend. Thank you, Dr. Ray for making a difference. Marge

from JoAnn in PA March 4, 2018 for Annmarie Ray, MD

I have known Dr. Annmarie Ray for about 25 years and been a patient for about 23 years. When she decided to go MDVIP, my first reaction was not to join. After some thought, I changed plans and decided to join her at MDVIP. As of this date, I know it was the best move I ever made. I am so happy and totally satisfied with my health care. It is a pleasure to go into the office. Dr. Ray never… See more
