I have known Dr. Annmarie Ray for about 25 years and been a patient for about 23 years. When she decided to go MDVIP, my first reaction was not to join. After some thought, I changed plans and decided to join her at MDVIP. As of this date, I know it was the best move I ever made. I am so happy and totally satisfied with my health care. It is a pleasure to go into the office. Dr. Ray never… See more

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
Too many people today feel that medicine has become a detached and impersonal experience. For that reason, I have affiliated with MDVIP, and their national network of physicians. I have never forgotten the words I learned early in my training: “To Cure Sometimes, to Relieve Often, to Comfort Always.”
From the first time I heard these words, almost 30 years ago, I knew they would be my guide in providing care for my patients. While this may seem like an old-fashioned notion, I consider it to be sorely absent in the modern practice of medicine. Diagnosing and treating illness is much more than ordering tests and administering medications. Treating the whole person, as well as the disease, is supposed to be the central tenet of medicine.
Being a female internal medicine physician provides me with the opportunity to practice medicine following the guiding principle that the patient is the center of all that we do. This is what sets apart the MDVIP experience from the traditional primary care practice. Prompt and on-time appointments, excellent educational resources, and individualized treatment plans developed for every patient, means that you benefit from care that helps keep you well, not just treat you when you are ill. You get old-fashioned personal attention as well as the opportunity to use some of the newest technology. Most importantly, you will feel like a person, not a part on an assembly line.
For me, taking care of patients is both a calling and a privilege. I look forward to partnering with you and I invite you and your family to join my practice.

5000 characters are not enough to properly Thank Dr. Ray. My story is a bit different in that I met Dr. Ray at the absolute worst time in my life. My mother was given a death sentence and Dr. Ray got to tell me how long my mother was going to live. It was gut wrenching and a day I will never ever forget. But, Dr. Ray's honest, caring and willingness to answer questions was… See more

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Ray for over 20 years. Would not see any other doctor. She is kind, professional and caring. Very intelligent. We both have had serious health problems, and she has taken care of us.
