My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
Communication is paramount to the doctor-patient relationship, and I spend extra time to develop meaningful relationships with my patients both inside and outside of the exam room. I enjoy sharing healthy cooking tips to improve nutrition, and we incorporate exercise, such as Pilates and Yoga to enhance flexibility, improve sleep quality and increase core strength. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments that start on time.
I am one of a few female MDVIP-affiliated internists in the Washington, D.C. area. My practice is located in Bethesda, MD, serving the Arlington and McLean areas of Virginia, as well as the Potomac, Wheaton and Silver Spring communities of Maryland and Washington, D.C. I am affiliated with Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland and Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, and I always visit patients in those hospitals. As a primary care doctor board certified in internal medicine, I also have interests in preventive medicine, women’s health, nutrition and integrative health. I speak fluent English and Spanish.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Keshishian
Having recently moved from Vermont where I had a great team of doctors, I was dreading finding an “acceptable” primary doctor. After much research, I decided on Dr. Daphne Keshishian. BEST DECISION EVER!!! She is the best doctor I have ever had. She listens, she is on top of test results, calls me with news and a plan. I feel safe in her hands. She truly is the gold standard in my book!
When I went for my first general physical, Dr. K. heard my -- now much louder -- aortic valve murmur. She referred me for what turned out to be lifesaving open heart surgery. During the recovery period in the hospital, I experienced what some thought might have been a seizure. Dr. K. went to some lengths to track down the nurse in the Surgical ICU who had witnessed the episode. After her… See more
She is very hands on with my care and follow up. She has given me her cell phone number so that I can call her directly with problems and concerns.
I was recently diagnosed with cancer because she pushed me to have early tests, and then she spent time researching the best surgeon and oncologist who would treat the rare kind of bladder cancer I have.
Until I started this practice, I never knew so many kind and caring medical professionals. They all care so much.
My exam was quite comprehensive....dr k explained all my blood test numbers and immediately put a plan forth to check out some situations.....she was great, smart and knowledgeable .....
I am so glad I recently switched to Dr. K. at MDVIP. She & all the staff are exceedingly professional & I recommend them highly.
I have only been a patient of Dr. Keshishian for a few months but my wife Nancy was her patient during the last year of her life after the return of Nancy's breast cancer. Dr. Keshishian coordinated a complex plan of care that involved many physicians from a variety of specialties. She also found and contacted a number of doctors who were important in Nancy care. Without Dr Keshishian,… See more
