I popped a disc on my back. I was unable to get an appointment with my neurosurgeon. Being in such pain, Dr. Zekser helped me all he could by giving me medication for the pain, something to relieve some of the swelling off the nerve. In 2006, a sleep study showed that I had sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome. I tried using a CPAP machine for the sleep apnea and my inernist at the time suggested that I take .5 mg of a "muscle relaxant" - klonopine, at night before going to bed to address the restless legs syndrome.
