My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My passion as a primary care physician is to provide you with highly personalized care and attention with an emphasis on prevention and wellness. I get to know my patients well because I believe it is an integral component of their care and treatment. Knowing about your daily habits, your interests and your family life in addition to your medical history can help me identify the root cause of current issues and get ahead of potential problems before they can become more serious.

In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, you will be treated in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and you will benefit from the full extent of my medical education, professional interest in emerging treatment options and strong relationships with local specialists. Some of my areas of focus include prevention of atherosclerosis to decrease the risk of heart attacks and strokes, coaching patients on ways to adopt a healthier lifestyle despite barriers and exploring nonpharmacological treatments for issues before prescribing medication.

As one of the few internal medicine doctors in the greater Cleveland/Akron/Canton area offering this personalized healthcare approach, similar to concierge medicine, I provide a level of care that can help support your well-being, whether you are managing a chronic condition, have wellness goals to reach or simply want to maintain your health in the years ahead.

My practice is located in Fairlawn, Ohio, close to I-77 exits and right behind the Summit Mall. This location conveniently serves patients from Medina, Wadsworth, Akron, Bath, Canton, Copley, Cuyahoga Falls and the southern Cleveland suburbs. I am affiliated with Summa Health System and Cleveland Clinic Akron General.

Dr. Phillips: You have been my primary care doctor since 1992. You have always provided a high level of professional competence and warm caring concern. You have also referred me to excellent specialists when needed. When I see you, talk on the phone, or email with you, I know that you are listening carefully and thoughtfully, and striving at all times to understand my issues and suggest the… See more

After suffering a massive stroke in January 2017, all of my doctors left me hanging in the wind. They either moved to new parctices or took positions as administrators with hospitals and were no longer seeing patients in their offices. It was very difficult for me to coordintae my medical care. I joined Dr. Phillips practice in October 2017 and she has left no stone unturned in getting to the… See more

I've gone through some tough times recently, losing both of my parents. Dr. Phillips gave me a book to read about losing loved ones before this happened. It helped somewhat. But more than the book, I believe Dr. Phillips helped the most, because of the talks we had and she is just a very caring person. I feel fortunate to have her as my health care provider.
