My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My goal is to optimize your health which is done by creating and maintaining a balance between your mind, body and soul, all of which are intimately integrated and interdependent by:
  • Listening actively to understand your complaint
  • Diagnosing accurately that complaint cause
  • Prescribing effectively the easiest solution – medication or surgical intervention when necessary
  • Balancing structural asymmetries using Osteopathic manipulative techniques, or;
  • Providing on-site counseling or referral for such

I will partner with you on a personal level to individualize and achieve the health and wellness you and I both desire for you. We will walk together on the path towards wellness using a preventive approach rather than a reactive one to gain years of increased well-being. Your journey will include individualized attention and a relaxed office experience using state-of–the art diagnostic testing and methods.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Wedel

from Elizabeth in AZ March 12, 2020 for F. P. Wedel, DO

My husband’s heart went out of rhythm on a Saturday and he was unable to convert to a normal rhythm on his own. We texted Dr Wedel on Sunday morning and asked him what we should do. He offered to meet us at his office THAT AFTERNOON - on a SUNDAY to do an EKG and come up with a plan of action. Where else but MDVIP can you see you primary care physician in a couple hours of notice on a Sunday… See more

from Anora in AZ March 12, 2020 for F. P. Wedel, DO

Dr. Wedel has been my doctor for more than 15 years. In that time he has listened to my views, been willing to accept my addition of alternate types of treatments and seen me through several rather difficult health issues. I can't say enough about his care, his staff, and being able to get in to see him when needed. I wish everyone could have a doctor like him! Thank you, thank you,… See more

Dr. Wedel has been my PCP for 27 years. I can't imagine what I would do without him. He is always attentive to my every need. If I have a problem and he can't fix it himself he will always refer me to someone whom he trust to help with my problem. Thank you Dr. Wedel for always being available for you patients.

I have so much trust and feel so good about my Doctor, F.P.WEDEL, that just having an appointment seems to make me feel better. His wonderful manner and also that of his staff, is like a healing prescription all by itself. Dr. Wedel has been my primary doctor for about five years. I have seen a lot of specialists in that time also. I always make sure that Dr. Wedel receives all of the… See more

Dr Wedel has been our physician for the better part of 30 years. He has been communicative, with a good "bed side manner" and informality which I enjoy as a patient. He has been creative and diligent in his diagnoses and his correct referrals to the right specialist. I feel confident and comfortable in his care. His skill in osteopathic medicine has helped my lower back and neck… See more

from Nancy in AZ March 12, 2018 for F. P. Wedel, DO

What I love about Dr. Wedel is the personal connection. The time he spends with me in the office is quality time, he really cares about what I have to say and he listens! Dr. Wedel has been my doctor for more than 20 years, he has taught me to be my own advocate, to know my own body. Sometimes I think I can diagnose my own sickness - in that case, he's there to either concur or… See more
