We are patients of Dr. Carter for about 15 years or more now. We are so grateful for his caring of our health. He always has plenty of time on our visits and always willing to discuss what treatments would be best. We hope he is recovering nicely (and quickly) from his knee surgery. We do bless the day we found him for our doctor.
My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
When I completed my family medicine residency at the University of Arizona, I established my own private practice in Tucson. The original solo practice has grown to six physicians. We have been affiliated with Arizona Community Physicians for seventeen years. I am certified in Family Medicine and Geriatrics. I am passionate about helping people live the energetic, healthy lives that they want for themselves.

Our family has used Dr Carter for 30 years. Our son is same age as Dr Carter's son. Dr Carter is easy to talk to and always takes time with patients to answer any questions they have. Our doctor relationship has been personal too.

Dr. Carter is the most thoughtful and caring Doctor we have had since coming to Arizona. He always goes all out for his patients and gives them the best that he has, which is a lot. We need more like him. We wish him the very best in the coming years.
I contacted Dr. Carter through the MDVIP Program. First of all I am very impressed by this service and it is well worth its reasonable cost. Recently my wife, Jacquelyn, also enrolled and has chosen Dr. Carter as her primary care physician.

Dr John Carter is the best Dr hands down. I have been a patient of his since 1999, I have changed my Ins to stay with my Dr., he listens and he cares. I know about his family and he knows about mine. Dr Carter takes time to ask and answer any questions I have about my health care issues, I've had a lot through the years. We discuss my medications and alternatives. He's the best.… See more
First saw Dr Carter in 1999 after diagnosis of breast cancer. He spent 2 hours with me on my first visit. This really meant a lot to me. He always seems to care and give the very best of care each time I see him. He is an awesome Dr. and seems to really care about his patients.
We hope your knee replacement operation on March 3 went well and that you are making a good recovery. You know that I (David) have had two knee replacements that have resulted in long recoveries. We note that your intended schedule for return to work seems quite optimistic and we hope you can accomplish that.

Dr. Carter has been our doctor for 28 years. If any one asks, I just say he is the best primary doctor in town. My husband recently passed away and Dr. Carter came to visit him in the facility where he was staying. I will always remember his kindness and caring for my husband.
As the son of an M.D. I have some appreciation of the doctor-patient relationship, and also as a long-term patient of Dr. Carter. In the years of having him as my primary care physician, Dr. Carter has consistently made my office visits very satisfactory in terms of his patience in listening, in explaining well the diagnoses, in making recommended referrals, and in general, understanding my… See more
