My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
The benefit of growing up in Peabody, Massachusetts and practicing in the North Shore area for over 20 years as a family physician has provided me with a strong sense of the people and culture of our community. My unique training in family medicine allows me to appreciate the full scope of the health care needs facing my patients, including physical and emotional challenges. I enjoy learning about each and every one of my patients and getting a true understanding of their own individual circumstances. I treat every patient as if they are a part of my own family, and I strive to provide a caring environment where patients can relax and feel safe with someone who cares. The MDVIP approach to healthcare enables me to practice primary care as it was intended, by allowing more time for visits, as well as a wealth of innovative and in-depth preventive services. This supports a more proactive health care plan for my patients so that they can lead healthier and more active lives.

I was so sure I could control my B/P with a change in my diet because I didn't want to start taking medication. ( I was 66) Well Dr McWha let me have my time, only to discover he was right. I needed the medication to help lower my B/P so i would not damage my heart. We talked about starting a low dose and It's working. So we are both happy. Dr. Ken McWha is kind, gentle, excellent listener. I listen to his suggestions, and he listens to mine. I always feel comfortable with him and his staff. It’s so nice to be able to Email him when needed. He responds quickly, at end of day. He is reassuring.
