My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I want to hear your individual health story. Let’s improve your health and your quality of life, together. My goal is preventing illness before it happens and shaping your future to be the best it can be. With personalized attention and expanded testing to take a deeper dive into your physical well-being, we can craft a plan for health challenges you may face now and work to prevent others. Listening to my patients, learning about your unique body system, and planning your care as we go forward has always been the focus of my practice. It takes time to be comfortable and forge a relationship in which patients feel supported and free to share their concerns. That’s why my aim is to nurture a partnership with you, so that we can be proactive in prevention and wellness. Since opening my practice in Wilmington 30 years ago, I've spent each day working to be the best doctor I can be. Being a great physician takes more than medical knowledge. It takes patience and listening. It takes kindness and a supportive staff. I promise we will try our best to be a caring internal medicine practice. We can brighten your future by taking care of you today.

As a primary care physician trained in Internal Medicine, my experience has afforded tremendous insight into chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cardiac disease, COPD, cancer and infectious diseases. I also rely on my caring office staff and my relationships with specialists. My training and my time have largely been spent on our maturing population. I take great pride in maximizing your options and being honest about what life may bring as we age and how to manage it best. With this personalized healthcare approach, we can focus on proactive agendas instead of simply responding to illnesses as they present symptoms. This is our best future; aging can be full of grace. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments that start on time.

My primary care practice is located in Wilmington, NC, and currently serves patients from Carolina Beach, Castle Hayne, Hampstead, Jacksonville, Landfall, Leland, Porter's Neck, Rose Hill, Shallotte, South Port, Supply, Swansboro, Topsail Island, Wallace, Whiteville, Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, and all points in between. I am affiliated with New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
