I am relatively new to the VIP program and so I am in the "getting to know my doctor" phase of treatment. This is my second year with Dr. Cohn, after my family doctor of approximately 35 years, retired. Adjustment and change can be difficult but, Dr. Cohn has made it quite easy. I think the most memorable moment was when I shared my family history with her, which was quite… See more

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My goal as an internist is to partner with my patients so they can become better advocates for their healthcare needs and participate more in the medical decisions that can help them live healthier and happier lives. I manage both acute and chronic diseases and assist with end-of-life decisions. Because of my smaller practice size, I have time to closely listen to my patients and provide proactive medical recommendations and emotional support. My MDVIP-affiliated practice also offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. My greatest asset is my ability to advocate for my patients' needs, and I am available for all of their questions and concerns. As a private doctor, I coordinate care through our complex healthcare system, and in so doing, I am able to help improve the overall wellness of my patients and limit unnecessary services. I have an honest and direct approach to communication and am sensitive to the different needs and goals of individuals.
My MDVIP-affiliated internal medicine practice has earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Level III Certification and has repeatedly achieved above 95% nationwide for quality. This recognition acknowledges an effective way of organizing primary care that emphasizes care coordination and communication in order to transform primary care into "what patients want it to be."

A colleague of mine was kind enough to suggest I see her doctor when I was searching for a GP. That doctor was Lillian Cohn and its been 32 years since that first visit. I am very grateful to my colleague for that introduction. It is rare to say that you trust someone totally but I can say that without hesitation about Dr. Cohn. From the minor concerns to the major health issues I've faced she… See more
Dr. Lillian Cohn sees me a whole patient, not just looking at whatever health issue i go to see her about. Shortly after i started to see her, i had a few episodes of vertigo. I appreciated how she coordinated the various specialists i saw: sometimes making referrrals, sometimes interpreting what specialists said, sometimes providing me with questions to ask them. She has done that over and… See more

When Dr. Cohn first became an MDVIP doctor I considered finding another doctor because that was a LOT of money and not paid by my insurance. I thought, mulled, considered, ruminated, contemplated, meditated, debated and finally decided to give up feeding the birds (not really) and go for it. Id been a patient of Dr. Cohns for a number of years by that time and just couldnt face having to break… See more
Lillian Cohn, MD is the most understanding doctor I have ever had! She is so easy to talk with.
Dr. Cohn is such a good and understanding doctor. We feel so lucky that she was recommended to us by another patient who felt the same way.
