My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My goal as your internal medicine physician is to provide comprehensive care in the prevention and treatment of diseases. I believe it is important to know and listen to each patient in order to take care of the whole person.

As one of a few female internists providing this personalized care approach in the Northern Virginia area, we can utilize MDVIP’s annual wellness program to create your personalized healthcare plan. The ability to reach me during and after hours and extended visits have helped several patients gain better control of their chronic medical problems rather than those problems controlling them. I treat a variety of medical conditions and have special interests in diabetes and hypercholesterolemia. I hold virtual Zumba classes for my members. I speak English and Tagalog.

As your private doctor, I will help you navigate the healthcare system, which can be a daunting process, and I will be your advocate for any healthcare concerns outside of my office. I look forward to being your physician partner as we begin your journey towards a healthier you.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Asesor

from Jacqueline in VA March 10, 2024 for Maria Concepcion Asesor, MD

Dr Asesor hooked me on Zumba—a fun and energetic cardio dance exercise. A few years ago, Dr A. organized a Saturday Zumba session via Zoom. Last year, I decided to take additional classes at the YMCA. I love the music and the ambiance—I get to spend quite a bit of energy dancing, and learning new moves keep my brain engaged as well. Thank you, Dr. Asesor.

from Charles in VA January 23, 2024 for Maria Concepcion Asesor, MD

I felt like I was coming down with Covid or something. I called Dr Maria Asesor on Sunday morning and she said meet me at the office at 2 pm. I came in and found out that indeed I had Covid. She asked me where my wife was. I said she is waiting in our car. The good Dr. said have her come in. Sure enough she also had Covid. This is but one story why we think she is a very dedicated Health Care… See more

from Royce in VA March 12, 2020 for Maria Concepcion Asesor, MD

I was disturbed when my internist of 25 years died, and I floundered around for a while before I found Dr. Asesor. She turned out to be so thorough and conscientious and knowledgeable that I have now been with her for many years. Her recommendations of specialists have always turned out to be superb too, and both my cardiologist and ENT specialist came from Dr. Asesor. I am happy I stayed with… See more

from Sheryl in VA March 12, 2020 for Maria Concepcion Asesor, MD

Dr. Asesor has been my doctor for more than 15 years so she knows me. I have had respiratory issues such as allergies and asthma. I have had bronchitis in the past so I know how it feels. I was scheduled to visit my VA doctor anyway so I decided to wait and ask her about what I thought was a case of bronchitis. She told me that since I had not coughed while I was in her office, I couldn't… See more
