My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

Medicine is a partnership between doctor and patient – a partnership based on mutual trust and respect that is earned. In my MDVIP-affiliated primary care practice, I offer a personalized healthcare approach similar to concierge care. In this role, I have the time to develop close and personal relationships with my patients and their families, as well as provide the most individualized and effective care possible in times of need.

I have practiced internal medicine in Salem, Massachusetts for greater than 36 years and serve patients in communities throughout the north Boston area, including Lynn, Lynnfield, Beverly, Hamilton, Wenham, Ipswich, Peabody, Salem, Revere, Danvers and beyond. My hospital affiliation is with North Shore Medical Center, and I also work with specialists throughout the Partners’ system, including Mass General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

In addition to general primary care, I have a special interest in infectious diseases. I was the first infectious diseases specialist at North Shore Medical Center with a particular interest in hospital epidemiology. I also am a member of The Infectious Diseases Society of America as well as The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America.

He has also taken care of me with a lot of diabetes complications. He has been there for us since the beginning and especially since being a part of MDVIP but his care has been the same from day one. Doctor Greenbaum has lessened the stress-factor in my life. Knowing he is always assessable, has been a comfort in my life. Taking care of elderly parents can be difficult, physically and especially emotionally, but this good Doctor has enabled me to enjoy my life, despite my charges. Before my Dad passed away, Dr. Greenbaum took charge of his treatment, consulted and visited daily, and… See more

Dr. Greenbaum has been a terrific physican and infectious diseases specialist before he joined MDVIP, and the organization is fortunate to have Dr. Greenbaum within its ranks. He is an unusally smart, kind, caring, resourceful physician. I am a type one diabetic, and I have had a great deal of experience with various physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital and Tufts Medical Center in… See more

from Sally-Dee and Bill in MA February 17, 2014 for Maurice Greenbaum, MD

My guess is that my husband and I met Dr Greenbaum about 35 years ago. My husband had had many complications from an injury while in Viet Nam and though he was in many hospitals out of state and in state no one was able to figure out the on-going problem.
Dr Greenbaum was the infectious disease doctor affiliated with Salem Hospital and because I refused to let my husband go to the VA… See more
