Robin Ober, DO

My mission as your private internal medicine physician is to personally engage with you by providing evidence-based, exceptional health care. I truly believe in integrating health promotion and disease prevention into quality lifestyles. I had always been active and decided to try to incorporate my passion for the functional human condition into a career, leading me to some amazing experiences in the Pacific Northwest and an Exercise Physiology degree. This was enriched with four years of competitive collegiate rowing at Pacific Lutheran University and one additional year of coaching, several years working as a physical therapy assistant and into my service as an Air Force internal medicine osteopathic physician. I have coached and participated in CrossFit, and even competed as a Masters Olympic weightlifter after moving to Alaska. The breadth of my personal experiences, both as a patient and physician in health care, have shaped my desire to re-imagine a more personal kind of doctor-patient relationship that allows us to tailor a health care plan together that is as unique as you are.

Having a personal doctor as part of your healthcare team is like having a personal trainer for your medical care. We will work together to stay on top of your medical concerns, facilitating you to thrive in a healthy and enjoyable life. My expertise as an internist has been in working with patients who struggle with high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and the management of other complex medical problems. You will have the benefit of my years of specialized training as an internal medicine physician along with my personal enthusiasm and passion in preventive care, education, nutrition and exercise.
