My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My philosophy of appropriate medical care has evolved over the years. I have ridden the wave of evolutionary change in healthcare that has depersonalized medical care. In the effort to contain costs, the system has abandoned the traditional doctor-patient relationship - a relationship of caring, communication, trust and collaboration.

The essence of internal medicine lies in the time-honored relationship between a doctor and patient. My affiliation with MDVIP gives me the opportunity to provide the time for the provision of sub-specialty appointments, the opportunity to go the extra mile to secure pre-authorizations for medications or testing and the ability to navigate the conundrum of medical and specialty care to fully support each patient’s optimum health.

With this personalized approach, similar to concierge medicine, we have no time constraints during patient visits. It is important to discuss and treat illness, but it is as important to understand illness within the framework of a patient's life, family, employment and unique needs. As a private doctor, I am available 24/7 either in the office, via cell phone or in the hospital. It’s my belief that if you are ill enough to be hospitalized, your personal primary care physician should be managing your care.

As a board-certified internist, I emphasize the importance of prevention in a comprehensive, annual wellness program designed to detect potential issues from becoming major events and significantly diminish hospital admissions. I am also board certified in geriatric medicine.

The practice of medicine continues to fascinate me on a daily basis. For me, primary care medicine is more than a career, it is truly a calling.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Weinberg

from Eleanor (Ellie) in NJ March 27, 2018 for Ronald M. Weinberg, MD, FACP

What can I say that I have not said many times before? Dr. Weinberg has been my doctor for some 35 years and, if he continues with his ever pleasant demeanor, he will be my Doctor for another 35 years.

He is warm, kind and professional, (still calls me Mrs., although I have asked him to call me by my given name); but that's ok, another plus in his favor. He always answers my… See more

as i get older and I know more health issues will arise, I feel great that Dr Weinberg is my personal doctor. I know he will give me the guidance that I can trust tomake good health decisions. He is warm, friendly and smart so i feel imformed to make good decisions for my life. If he cannot be the doctor to handle the health issue, he will suggest doctors who can handle the problem. from Susan in NJ February 28, 2018 for Ronald M. Weinberg, MD, FACP

I can honestly say, I don't know if I would be here today if it weren't for Dr. Weinberg. In Jan 2010, I went to the emergency room at Monmouth Medical with kidney failure, a broken ankle, and jaundice from liver failure. If it wasn't for Dr. Weinberg's quick thinking and keen diagnostic skills, I don't want to think about what could have happened. He pulled together a… See more

from Scott in NJ February 27, 2018 for Ronald M. Weinberg, MD, FACP

We have had Dr. Weinberg as our family physician for over 25 years. There are no words to describe the importance of him to our family. He is always just a phone call and away. We are so very grateful to have such a person in our lives for the greater part of our adult life. It is so reassuring for us that we know he is always there for us!!
