My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
Personalized healthcare helps allow me to deepen the relationships I share with my patients, improving health, wellness and quality of life. I am board certified in family medicine and am able to anticipate needs well ahead of the curve rather than react to them. As old-fashioned as it may sound, I am now able to be the family doctor I had always envisioned I would be. The individualized care offered in my MDVIP-affiliated practice harmonizes with how I was taught as an osteopathic physician to treat a patient as a whole person. My goal is to find and foster better health outcomes and to prevent and treat sickness. I want to know my patients and their families beyond the numbers in their charts and equip them with all the tools and advanced screenings needed to accomplish life goals and be there to support and cheer them on. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments.
My primary care practice serves Brunswick County, North Carolina from Southport to Leland to Shallotte. I am affiliated with Dosher Memorial Hospital and Novant Brunswick Community Hospital. My specialized interests include adult and geriatric medicine, women’s health, primary prevention and the management of cardiovascular disease, cholesterol disorders, hypertension, diabetes and obesity, as well as osteopathic manipulation therapy through traditional and alternative treatment options. I am involved in all aspects of my patients' care from office to home and am available 24 hours a day.
