My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My goal as a primary care physician is to use my expertise in medicine to help guide my patients through existing health problems and minimize new ones. This approach is individualized for each patient as we create a partnership based on good communication and mutual trust. I strive to create a personal relationship with each and every patient with an emphasis on lifestyle and prevention. Each of us has unique features in our own personal history and biochemical makeup that I believe are essential to creating a wellness health plan. I am also board certified in nephrology and focus on preventing or slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease.

I apply best practice evidence-based medicine to keep my patients knowledgeable and informed about their own health, and use my own personal and compassionate approach to guide them through complicated health decisions.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Lodhi

from Louise in GA March 11, 2020 for Sundus A. Lodhi, MD

First of all, let me say, how wonderful it is to know I will get my questions answered within a few hours. Dr. Lodhi is great about calling me quickly after I email or call. I asked for her help to give up sleeping pills, which I had been on because of years of hot flashes keeping me from quality sleep. I had tried cold turkey and failed. She gave me a plan that made sense. As she said this… See more

I have been with MDVIP since its inception at Piedmont,Atlanta. It is as represented, and I could not be more pleased with the care, response and annual review. The late Dr.Craig Woodward was wonderful and Dr.Lodhi is fabulous.
However this note is to commend and brag on Ms.Gale Hamlett-Frankie.She is the most delightful, competent, efficient, professional nurse I have ever encountered. She is… See more

I signed up with Dr. Lodhi's MDVIP practice after 10 years' neglect of most testing and general medical care, which I managed thanks to good luck and good genes. I chose her after an interview for her professionalism, obvious knowledge and thoughtful approach to medical interventions to improve my health that also took in to account the way I live my life. She is a great listener… See more

I had Craig Woodward as my MD-VIP doctor for 3 1/2 years until he retired. He was excellent. While we were on vacation in another state, We called Dr. Woodward who that day obtained a doctor for me and followed my treatment throughout. When he retired, I was concerned. He selected Sundus Lodhi to succeed him. She has been superb. She also retained the same excellent staff. When on… See more

Dr. Lodhi has been a wonderful primary care doctor, replacing my previous physician of 30 years or more. She is knowledgeable, explains things to me clearly and patiently. She is very insightful, listens to and interprets accurately my explanations, which might not be perfect. She is also kind in her treatment of me as a patient. I feel completely secure in her care.

Dr.Lodhi: Thank you for all of your medical advice. When I met you, I was in very bad shape. You challenged me to lose a huge amount of weight. You did not try to scare me, but you made it clear that getting on an aggressive weight loss plan was critical to my health, and supported me throughout. During that time, I have lost close to 100 pounds. You monitored my health, taking blood samples to… See more

She is always available with great care and advice. This past summer while on a trip through Canada, I became sick. We called her from Vancouver. She immediately took the call and prescribed medication and then followed up as we traveled.
She is always a great comfort and was especially so being so far from home.
She has been excellent from the beginning.

from Carolyn in GA February 28, 2018 for Sundus A. Lodhi, MD

As I reach another milestone and turn 51, it's a reminder that health and fitness are a gift. I so appreciate the wisdom and perspective that Dr. Lodhi has shared related to the importance of pushing myself - actually breaking a sweat! After my annual physical and consultation, I made the commitment to make my workouts count and stop just settling for a walk around the block.
