My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

The old saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is central to my healthcare approach.  As I love to teach and share my passion of learning, my patients have come to expect that healthcare is a partnership with emphasis on preventive practices and coaching to optimize their health goals. When routine and preventive measures are not enough, I work hard to lessen the difficulties in navigating the healthcare system and to understand the options and decisions with specialists and more advanced levels of care. In short, I will always focus on you, the patient. Prevention is the least costly and most effective means to health, and when healthcare becomes a challenge, I am a committed professional and friend throughout the entire process.

Since 1989, I have been a practicing physician in the community of Lebanon, Tennessee and am known for treating generations of family members. Board-certified in family medicine and geriatrics, I decided to build a hometown family practice after training in medicine for ten years in New York. This education was completed at some of the most challenging residency programs available in the country. Personalized medicine is what I enjoy sharing with patients and in my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I will be able to practice my style of medicine. Born in Miami, growing up in a small town in Florida and training in Brooklyn, New York, I am fluent in Spanish and understand the role of culture in your individualized healthcare.
