My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My practice focuses on what I believe is the cornerstone of good health: prevention. At its simplest, we need to stay active, eat well and sleep well. My commitment to you is to clarify your goals, identify the roadblocks to achieving these goals and to partner with you to map out a plan of success.

My family medicine practice of almost 20 years has provided me with a solid foundation for managing chronic issues as well as the acute. I also pride myself on the ability to manage those more complex issues which, unfortunately, can arise. Above all, I value and strive to provide an effective communication style with my patients to ensure that I understand their concerns and then help them to identify what is needed to move forward. In my partnership with MDVIP, I’ll be able to devote more time to your overall health and wellness. I’ll be your coach for this long journey we’re on, partnering with you in achieving your healthcare goals.

My practice is located in Rockville, Maryland, adjacent to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, where I have privileges. I look forward to seeing you in the practice.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Hunter

from Cheryl in MD March 26, 2024 for Bradley Hunter, DO

Dr. Bradley Hunter was my personal healthcare physician before he became my MDVIP physician. He has always been available to call me back if I had a question or concern. He even was available when I called on short notice with a concern about one of my chronic health care problems, and I was able to see him on the same day! It is reassuring to know that I have a doctor who is available on… See more

There are no words that can express my appreciation for Dr Hunter,s medical care.. . He has made my last 12 years so much easier!
I grew up on a farm when safety was not considered ,,so at age 15 months there was an accident when the fingers on my left hand were cut off. That has not bothered me much but it caused a lifetime fear of doctors and hospitals.. I don,t remember… See more

Dr Hunter took the time to have weekly online discussions with his patients last fall. He created power points delving into the chapters of the best selling book Atomic Habits by James Clear. The sessions were informative, descriptive, and lots of fun. I’ve never known a doctor who engaged with patients this way before. Bravo!

Dr. Bradley Hunter is the first doctor I have ever been able to speak comfortably with about my health issues. He listens and offers expert counsel. This is the way it always should be with doctors. But sadly, it is not always the case. I am very fortunate to be in his practice. I advised my wife to also become a member and join his practice. We are both very pleased with the care we are… See more

Before I became Dr. Bradley Hunter's patient, my previous physician had stopped testing my PSA. Fortunately for me, Dr. Hunter decided to renew my PSA testing. I discovered that my PSA was elevated, so I am now scheduled to have prostate surgery in a few weeks. I was fortunate that my cancer was discovered before my cancer had spread outside my prostate. If not for Dr. Hunter, I would… See more

Dr Bradley Hunter has been such a blessing to me on my journey for both a long lifespan and healthspan. Dr Hunter identified several areas in my life (diet, sleep, etc) that could be improved with small tweaks/adjustments. These small but significant changes have made a powerful impact on my health. These changes were easy to make through his outstanding explanation of the book Atomic Habits,… See more

At my age of 83, I've seen plenty of doctors. I've had some good experiences and some bad ones. I'm pleased to say that my experience with Dr. Bradley Hunter has been the best of the bunch. Recently, while out of town, I had a bout of "atrial flutter". I called Dr. Hunter, and asked for his advice, and he responded quickly with advice that made all the difference. When… See more

I have been seeing Dr. Hunter since the early 2000's and have recommended him to many. His calmness, humor, and professionalism has never changed. Although never being a goal to see any doctor, it makes going a couple times a year feel more of a chance to catch up with an old friend that you can confide in about anything going on in your life healthy wise, or other. He's also a big… See more
