My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

With over a decade of experience practicing internal medicine, I have learned that one of the most valuable resources I have as a physician is the time I can spend with you. It is my privilege to know each of my patients personally. The better I know you, the better I am able to advise you and deliver care tailored to your needs.

In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I make sure every patient receives all of the time and one-on-one attention required for me to provide skilled, personalized care. My style is compassionate and direct, and my approach is comprehensive and holistic. I will work in partnership with you to achieve your individual health goals.

As one of the few female internists in Oakland County offering this personalized approach to medical care, I will be able to help you make your heath a priority and to assist you in navigating today’s complex healthcare environment. My MDVIP-affiliated practice also offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I have a special interest in preventive medicine and women’s health, as well as a wealth of experience in treating many chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension.

About 4 years I joined MdVip at my sister's encouragement. I had gotten tired of doctors who knew nothing about me. I was frustrated that different specialties didn't communicate about my care. The hand never knew what the foot was doing and it affected my health and my care. Dr. Hinderer has become quite dear to me. Recently I had a minor stroke. Test after tests were done. I had… See more

I was in a fast spiral down after the passing of my husband. I grabbed alcohol to hide my pain and depression. After a two year struggle my family reached out to Dr Hindered. She stepped in immediately with open arms. We talked and she promised me no judgment with nothing but help and support. She help me with medication and directed me in the right directions. Without her assistance in… See more

Almost 20 years ago, I learned that I had Parkinson’s disease.  I saw specialists who confirmed my diagnosis and recommended I join the local Parkinson’s support group and start a course of treatment.  I followed their advice, and for a while I felt well enough to travel freely.  Every few years me and my two cats would move to a new place and I would find new doctors.  I received good care,… See more

I cannot say enough about my Dr, Kathryn Hinderer. She is kind. She is thorough. She is honest with any questions. She takes an interest in my family life.
I try not to take advantage of her ready availability but she is always available when needed. I enjoy our little chats about books while she is with me! I hope our Dr/patient continues for MANY years!

from Susan in MI August 4, 2020 for Kathryn Hinderer, DO

I should have never changed doctors. I had been with Dr. Hinderer for at least nine years and was scared off by this new program. Dr. Hinderer recommended a different female doctor but it wasn’t a good fit. I was also not sure my husband would pay for me to be in this program. I’m glad I’m back and looking forward to seeing Dr. Hinderer again. I’m hoping she can help me find an… See more
