In 2009 I came to this city and was having a heck of a problem finding a good Internal MD.. I found Dr. Woodland, wonderful GYN and he encouraged me to find Dr. Cohn. Anyway,I did track her down and fortunately was able to sign on to MDVIP and found her to be just what I had hoped for my Mom! My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
My goal as an internist is to partner with my patients so they can become better advocates for their healthcare needs and participate more in the medical decisions that can help them live healthier and happier lives. I manage both acute and chronic diseases and assist with end-of-life decisions. Because of my smaller practice size, I have time to closely listen to my patients and provide proactive medical recommendations and emotional support. My greatest asset is my ability to advocate for my patients' needs, and I am available for all of their questions and concerns. As a private doctor, I coordinate care through our complex healthcare system, and in so doing, I am able to help improve the overall wellness of my patients and limit unnecessary services. I have an honest and direct approach to communication and am sensitive to the different needs and goals of individuals.
My MDVIP-affiliated internal medicine practice has earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Level III Certification and has repeatedly achieved above 95% nationwide for quality. This recognition acknowledges an effective way of organizing primary care that emphasizes care coordination and communication in order to transform primary care into "what patients want it to be."

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Cohn
A colleague of mine was kind enough to suggest I see her doctor when I was searching for a GP. That doctor was Lillian Cohn and its been 32 years since that first visit. I am very grateful to my colleague for that introduction. It is rare to say that you trust someone totally but I can say that without hesitation about Dr. Cohn. From the minor concerns to the major health issues I've faced she… See more
Dr. Cohn is a wonderful doctor. She works long hours and is very caring and concerned for her patients. She has been my doctor for well over 30 years. When she joined MDVIP I signed up so she could remain my doctor. I hope she will continue to practice medicine for a long time. She is a very special person
Dr. Lillian Cohn sees me a whole patient, not just looking at whatever health issue i go to see her about. Shortly after i started to see her, i had a few episodes of vertigo. I appreciated how she coordinated the various specialists i saw: sometimes making referrrals, sometimes interpreting what specialists said, sometimes providing me with questions to ask them. She has done that over and… See more

When Dr. Cohn first became an MDVIP doctor I considered finding another doctor because that was a LOT of money and not paid by my insurance. I thought, mulled, considered, ruminated, contemplated, meditated, debated and finally decided to give up feeding the birds (not really) and go for it. Id been a patient of Dr. Cohns for a number of years by that time and just couldnt face having to break… See more
Lillian Cohn, MD is the most understanding doctor I have ever had! She is so easy to talk with.

Recently, I had spine surgery and she has been most informative in my recovery and in making decisions about coping with the outcomes. She encourages and, at the same time, cautions me not to make hasty… See more
