My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My medical practice philosophy is embodied in the phrase “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. My goal has always been to keep patients out of the hospital; whether it’s working to prevent medical problems from developing or treating medical problems that are already there, careful attention to detail is the key. My work as a pharmacist has also made me more aware of medications’ benefits and risks, which is why I am conservative in their use. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I will have more time with my patients, which means I will be able to spend even more time keeping people well. As your healthcare quarterback, I will help you navigate through the healthcare environment should you become ill and refer you to the right specialist, should you need one. You only have one shot at life, lets make it the best we can by compromising and working together.

Every woman’s nightmare!
On July 27, 2021, I found a breast lump. I immediately phoned my MDVIP physician who saw me in his office as soon as I could get there. Ultrasound and mammogram were done the same day. He referred me to Roger Maris Cancer Center and scheduled a breast biopsy and consult with a breast surgeon before the Nurse Navigator called me saying “he can’t do that, that’s… See more

The last 6 to 8 months of 2023 my health began failing at a consistent rate with no specific diagnosis found. I was in and out of Sanford for a few weeks and Dr. Michael Lillestol would round on me every morning at 6:30am when in hospital. Even though he couldn’t change any of my orders; he could make recommendations to the hospitalist assigned to me. Also, I ended up being an inpatient at… See more
