My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I am one of a few primary care physicians on the Upper East Side of Manhattan (right off Park Avenue) who has a personalized healthcare practice, similar to a concierge practice. My primary specialty is internal medicine , but I am also a hematology specialist associated with Mount Sinai Hospital. Located in New York City, Mount Sinai Hospital is a 1171-bed teaching hospital acclaimed internationally for excellence in clinical care.

In addition to hematology and internal medicine, I am board certified in oncology. For almost 40 years, I have enjoyed getting to know entire families - often several generations - who consider me to be their advocate, as well as their internist.

I work proactively to preserve your health by discussing lifestyle change through exercise, nutrition and risk avoidance. As part of the MDVIP Wellness Program offered in my primary care practice, I conduct the proper wellness screenings to help prevent disease and diagnose it early. Although this personal approach is termed innovative, it is the way traditional medicine was originally provided. If illness should occur, we will be partners to obtain the necessary tests and effective treatments. If you are living healthy, we will work together to keep you well.

I strive to be consistently and personally available to you. My patients express delight knowing they can schedule same-day appointments with me and reach me by office phone, cell phone, email or text.

I want to be your private doctor.

Dr. Meyer is everything I want in a doctor. He meets and exceeds all expectations of what I think a physician should be. He is undoubtedly very knowledge and competent. I have found him to be sensitive, caring and very communicative. He carefully listens to what I have to say and responds in a way that shows he understands my concerns.
