My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

Health is wealth. Each one of us has hopes, dreams, passions and pursuits. I believe the means to achieving all of this is through your health. My goal as your family medicine specialist is to work with you to formulate a personalized prevention and wellness plan. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I have more time to develop close relationships with my patients and help you achieve your goals. I treat my patients like family, with compassion and understanding.

I try to practice what I preach and am a real proponent for health through exercise. Like most of us who forgot to sip from the “fountain of youth”, we realize the road to staying healthy is not easy. My primary care practice, sometimes referred to as a concierge practice, provides the level of care that fits you.

With 16 years serving as a doctor in the Reno, Sparks and Lake Tahoe areas, I have strong relationships with specialists in every arena to help with your unique needs. I also am Clinical Associate Professor for the University of Nevada, School of Medicine. I have hospital affiliations with Renown, St. Mary’s and Northern Nevada Regional Medical Centers. My spare time is spent with family, skiing, biking, swimming and kayaking.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Gini

from Gail in NV April 3, 2024 for Ryan Gini, MD

I like the fact that the Dr. spends time with you and you don't feel rushed. He gets to know you and you get to know him.

from Karen in OH April 3, 2024 for Ryan Gini, MD

Let me preface this by saying I am a Registered Nurse (retired) and have worked with many types of doctors. From private duty docs to military ones, hospital to private practice docs. They all had one thing in common. No time for patients, no time to get to know them as people. Do I blame them? Not for the most part. It is the system, and the system is broke.
I was a patient of… See more

from Mary Ann in NV March 9, 2024 for Ryan Gini, MD

Dr. Gini was very supportive and kind recently when I was undergoing a medical problem that was causing me great concern and discomfort. He made sure I had the tests that would rule out the worst outcomes and that support and concern made a big difference in how I felt and allowed me to go forward with his advice.

from James in NV February 26, 2024 for Ryan Gini, MD

I first met my (unknown to me at the time) future physician Dr. Ryan Gini back in 1990. Ryan had joined our adult hockey team. Ryan was our most skilled player and helped keep our team from ending in the bottom of the standings. Ryan was attending medical school while he was playing with on the team. He was very motivated and a pleasure to play with. Given the hours of his studies and the… See more

Dr. Gini has been very responsive to all medical needs of both myself and my wife. His staff, both receptionist and nurse, are very focused on our needs. Quick response to our medical needs is always very comforting. Office environment is very comfortable. Communication and support has always been first class.

from Steven in NV February 12, 2024 for Ryan Gini, MD

Dr. Ryan Gini has gone the extra mile for me on many occasions. I went through a difficult time, mentally, after receiving a cancer diagnosis. The diagnosis came after 69 years of near perfect health. Through a surgery and subsequently an unexpected three week hospital stay occasioned by a bout with sepsis, Dr. Gini paid particular attention to my deteriorated mental state. On a number of… See more

My wife and I are able to obtain an acute care appointment that day. Or, if it is OK with us the appointment will be the next day. We are never rushed out the door with his hand on the doorhandle after a couple of minutes.
This is a real primary care clinic from the time when I was young.
Now the production line primary care clinics will offer you an acute care appointment in… See more

Dr. Gini keeps me alive. Most of my friends have died, but none of them went to Dr. Gini.
Every time I need something, mainly prescriptions, he provides excellent service and advice.
And his staff is well trained, friendly and efficient. What's not to like?

from Danny in NV February 10, 2024 for Ryan Gini, MD

Dr Gini I went to him with a lump on my neck and he pulled out all the stops. He first sent me for an ultrasound and came back inconclusive. He and his associates got me in within a week to get a biopsy. The fortunate side it came back with a clean bill of health. In today’s society it would taken months to get in they did in 2 weeks a real blessing. Thank you.
