My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

Doctors should treat patients, not just their insurance companies. The current system encourages doctors to see a large volume of patients in the shortest possible time which is incompatible with practicing personalized health care.

Diagnosis and outcomes are better when patients are allowed to describe their concerns in an unhurried, nonjudgmental environment, in adequate detail which will allow the diagnosis to reveal itself. My affiliation with MDVIP allows me the ability to spend the time necessary to make a sound diagnosis based on adequate information.

The best physicians are those who teach their patients how to remain well, rather than waiting for illness to manifest and then treat it with all the “magic bullets” at their disposal. This approach has made medical care economically unsustainable. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, you will receive the time, attention and personalized care you deserve.

Doctor Murray has consistently been responsive, knowledgeable, and caring during the 20 plus years that we have been his patients. Never have we felt rushed during a visit, but rather have always appreciated his utmost attention and thoroughness. In addition, we view him as a dependable source for recommending alternative paths to resolve issues or concerns that we have. We are grateful to… See more

Dr. Murray has always responded immediately to every problem, be it large or small. He is remarkably brilliant in diagnosing root causes. His memory of changes since my last rectal examination prompted a visit to a urologist despite a PSA of less than 4. Biopsy detected significant cancer. I am grateful and fortunate to be under his care.

I am never more than a phone call away from my Doctor and when stressed over various-sometimes opposite- guidance from various specialists, I have the opportunity to sit down with a physician that has time for ME

from Vivienne in NJ February 6, 2014 for Simon D. Murray, MD

Dr. Murray has been my primary physician for at least 29 years. When I had a recurrence of Giant Cell Lymphoma last year, Dr. Murray researched the best Lymphoma specialist in the metropolitan area. He called the specialist himself, and secured an immediate appointment for me. Not only did Dr. Murray get me the appointment, but he also went with me to meet with the specialist. I know of no… See more

from Laura January 23, 2013 for Simon D. Murray, MD

Having Dr. Murray as my primary physician has been both a blessing and a pleasure. I have a physical disability (quadriplegia). Aging with SCI poses increasing challenges for me. I don't know what I would have done these past few years without Dr. Murray's help and understanding. It is not possible for me to see him in his office very easily. In spite of this, Dr. Murray is available… See more

Dr. Murray is always available to see me or to return a call and/or answer a question. He prints out pertinent information relative to concerns I have to further educate me on any medical condition I am dealing with. He is conservative in decisions and direction and , if necessary, has recommended other extremely qualified physicians to further aid me with any particular problem.

from Gerald August 11, 2011 for Simon D. Murray, MD

Dr Murray considers me as a whole. I have been battling chronic illness that is complicated with various specialists, each with their own take on the matter. Finally I have a physician that will guide me through the various decisions and their consequences and help me choose the health decisions that are right for me.

My first visit alone relieved a great deal of my stress knowing this… See more
