Since age 33 I have been on blood pressure medication. Despite good care and medication my anxiety would soar at even the thought of having my blood pressure read. My internists were good doctors so I figured a stroke would be coming sooner rather than later. Years went by and my doctor retired so I then saw Dr. Dodson. On my first visit after he read my pressure he said, You know, blood pressure is kind of a hobby with me, let's see what we can do. New tests and equipment were now available, he ran me through them, made a decision to put me on another regimen including tips for pre doctor anxiety. He has been like a coach training a team member. Dr. Dodson seems to be genuinely interested in the lifestyle of this little 80 year old woman. Hypertension afflicted my parents and grandparents and it will require medication for the rest of my life----but my coach oversees it all.
