Please don’t retire until I am 100 years old!
Dr. Allen Sonstein has been our trusted and much loved physician since May, 1977. We were a young family of four then, and through the years, he has helped us through almost everything from the very simple sniffles through the severe illness and eventual death of my husband. We always felt him to be caring and genuinely interested in our well being. We never felt-as if we were just a number, or just part of another days work. When situations arose, he never hesitated to refer us to a specialist. They were top notch professionals in their field, and we were always comfortable with his referrals. Fast forward to the time Dr. Sonstein became affiliated with MDVIP, we felt it to be too great a financial sacrifice for us at that time. But as we recalled the many years of top quality care, and the trust that had only grown over the years, we came to the conclusion that for us to remain in his practice would certainly be our only choice. I am so glad we made that decision! When we were sick, he often made follow up phone calls to ask if we were feeling better. On a couple of occasions he has made house calls when needed. During the time my husband was so very ill, Dr. Sonstein would give a very comforting phone call from time to time inquiring how my husband was doing, and remind me to get some rest. Now with a scary diagnosis of cirrhosis, he has literally saved my life with recommendations and help for weight loss diets, regular lab work, and close follow ups to closely monitor all of this. There has been no progression of the cirrhosis in over a year, and I give him full credit for that. I am past 80 years old, and plan to celebrate my 100th birthday and hoping that Dr. Sonstein will not retire before then! I find no words to adequately express my heartfelt love and gratitude for “my Doc”,.....Dr. Allen Sonstein.
