Some of my friends, travel mates with me on a 2016 trip to China, are still impressed with how Dr. Okimura responded when my eye became infected on that trip. I woke up one morning with a crusty and pusty eye so I texted Dr. Okimura on the number provided on the MDVIP card that I carry in my wallet. She responded quickly, assessed what I described and told me what kind of prescription medicine i should get, and my tour guide was able to get it for me from a Chinese pharmacy. With the eye drops, the infection cleared up in a few days. Just a month ago, when with those friends talking about doctors and getting old, one of them said, Yeah , Gene's doctor responded right away, and he was able to take care of his eye.
