I've been going to Dr. Wasserman for 40 years. The first time I went to see him, I had a condition that had been diagnosed by my former doctor as nothing to worry about. When I described it to Dr. Wasserman he sent me to a specialist who repaired a condition that could have become serious over time.

One of Dr. Wasserman's best aspects is his diagnostic skill, and going along with that is his remarkable ability to explain why he has arrived at a particular diagnosis and course of treatment. I worked in the computer software field for 50 years, and a fair portion of my time was spent in trying to figure out why something was happening and what to do to fix it. Dr. Wasserman's process to decide what's causing a particular set of symptoms follows the process I've observed in my computer colleagues. He never just says "this is what you've got". It's always accompanied by the reasons why this alternative was chosen.

Besides being a smart and knowledgeable guy, he also has deep concern for the welfare of his patients and does what needs to be done to keep us in good shape. A moment I'll never forget came 4 years ago when I had a stroke. I was in the hospital emergency room, partially paralyzed, wondering where this was all going to lead. Then Dr. Wasserman came in and my uncertainty was replaced by a feeling that I was in good hands and that the outcome would be positive. Thanks be to God, that positive outcome did indeed happen. But the feeling of having somebody there whom I could trust to be my advocate was a light in a dark situation.

I'm thankful that I went to "the new guy" 4 decades ago, and that he continues to do his good works.
