While I appreciate your skill, knowledge and friendly pleasant manner, I would like to tell you about what appeals to me the most.

It appears to me that most doctors get into a routine and a certain symptom provokes a certain response. It must have been tempting when I had a 150 plus blood pressure my first couple of visits, to prescribe a medication to reduce the prsessure. Instead, you told me that before my upcoming physical, I should take my blood pressure twice a day for two weeks. The result of this showed that most of the readings were normal. Since then I do this before each physical and the pressures have been nearly all normal (120) or below.
I had been having problems with falling. Most of my non-medical friends had been advising me to get a cane or a walker because of my age.(80). You instead sent me to a balance clinic at St. Agnes Hospital. You also determined that I had what I beleve you called hip dysplasia. The therapist worked on both of these. and I am back to walking a total of three miles a day.
I could think of more examples but I think you can see my point, I know that if I come to you with a problem, you will not come up with the most obvious solution, but rather the best solution.
Thank you for all you do for me. We, your patients, may not say it all the time, but we are very grateful that you are our doctor.
