I was invited by a client of mine to attend a presentation from Dr. Martin to his patients and others regarding his moving from his primary care practice to becoming an MVIP practice. I was there only to help my client make a decision as I already was seeing another primary care physician at the time. Following the presentation I was among the first to sign up to become a MDVIP patient with Dr… See more

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Martin
I came into Dr. Martin's office with intense pain in my right shoulder, of unknown origin (no trauma I know of). He gave me a shot for pain and one for inflammation which gave me immediate relief. But a week later the pain was back so I came into his office a second time. He did the pain shot again, but somehow he got me in to see the specialist (a prominent local orthopedic surgeon) the… See more
A while back Dr. Martin had me do a scan for a separate issue. He said that while I was there I should do a heart calcification scan also. I did. 10 min and very little cost. Results were a score of 4750 which is 5 times what it should have been. Soon after I had a quad bypass surgery. Because of Dr. Martin finding this before any heart event I was treated and released with no damage… See more
Dr. Frank Martin, Jr, replaced his father in a family practice years ago. In all, I have seen Dr. Martin and Dr. Martin, Jr. for over 43 years. Dr. Martin is like family. He treats both me and my husband. We drive 35 miles to his practice because we wouldn't have it any other way. Time and time again, I am grateful for the excellent treatment. Two years ago, alone in a hotel room… See more
Don't have any specific story to tell but I can not say enough good things about Frank. They don't come any better than Frank!
I had an abdominal hernia for months. I was scheduled for surgery with a surgeon in Greenville SC and the risk pre-surgery was that my hernia could incarcerate. That is where the blood flow to the abdominal tissue or intestine becomes trapped in the sac of the hernia. It happened and within a couple of minutes I went from no pain to" on your knees " pain. My wife said lets call Dr.… See more
2 years ago was playing golf in a member guest with my cousin out of town. I was hit by a golf cart which formed a large hematoma. Probably should have quit playing, but I finished. Was in severe pain. This was a Saturday and I was able to speak with Dr. Martin by phone and sent a picture. He advised me what do do and then followed me the following Monday.
I appreciate the MDVIP… See more

I started seeing him in October 2018 and was diagnosed with breast cancer within a month of being his patient. He was always very kind and attentive. He continues to be supportive as I have completed my one year of treatment. He always has a smile and listens to everything I have to say. I feel like he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to my care. I am grateful to be his patient.
I moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 1972 when I was twenty-six years old. I needed to find a doctor. Someone at work recommended Dr. J. Frank Martin, Sr. During my first appointment and for many years thereafter, Dr. Martin's wife Kay was his assistant. She and I immediately hit it off; that first visit cemented my relationship with both the doctor, his wife, and his dog Rex who sat… See more
