Dan Hecht
Chief Executive Officer
Dan Hecht is the CEO of MDVIP with more than two decades of experience in the healthcare arena. Mr. Hecht’s healthcare management and business acumen have been instrumental in positioning MDVIP as the national leader in personalized healthcare. Under his guidance, MDVIP continues to innovate and expand the services and benefits offered to its members and affiliated physicians to transform the delivery of primary care in this country. Mr. Hecht previously held a variety of healthcare leadership positions with Procter & Gamble including General Manager, North American Pharmaceuticals, and Global Franchise Leader, based in P&G’s global headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in several countries in Europe including Germany and the United Kingdom. He has led the successful development and commercialization of a wide range of products in therapeutic areas including respiratory, cardiac, anti-infective, gastrointestinal and bone. Mr. Hecht received his B.A. and M.B.A. with concentrations in finance and marketing from the University of Rochester.
Mark Murrison
President
Mark Murrison leads all aspects of MDVIP’s consumer marketing, business development and innovation efforts to establish MDVIP as the most recognized brand in the consumer health services space. He was the Procter & Gamble executive who identified the potential of MDVIP to become a transformational consumer health brand and led P&G to make its first-ever investment in a health services company in 2006. From 2006 through 2009, Mr. Murrison was the P&G executive who helped MDVIP achieve significant business growth resulting in P&G’s full acquisition of MDVIP in December 2009. He has 16 years of experience in marketing and brand management with P&G where he has held a variety of leadership positions in healthcare and P&G FutureWorks, the company’s new business incubator. Mr. Murrison has directed the P&G efforts to enter new consumer healthcare categories and established several new consumer health businesses through external partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions and equity investments – including MDVIP, Swiss Precision Diagnostics and Crest Spinbrush. He serves as a company spokesperson for MDVIP and is widely regarded as an innovator and thought leader in health care who frequently speaks at business and healthcare conferences. Prior to joining P&G, he worked on Capitol Hill serving as director of legislative policy for several members of Congress. Mr. Murrison received his M.B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin and a B.S. in business from Kansas State University.
Andrea Klemes, DO, FACE
Medical Director
Dr. Andrea Klemes is the Medical Director of MDVIP. She also serves as the executive and organizational leader of MDVIP’s Medical Advisory Board that supports quality and innovation in the delivery of the healthcare model drawing expertise from the affiliated physicians. Dr. Klemes oversees MDVIP’s impressive outcomes data and research including hospital utilization and readmission statistics, quality of disease management in the MDVIP network and the ability to identify high-risk patients and intervene early. She is instrumental in the adoption of the Electronic Health Record use in MDVIP-affiliated practices and the creation of the data warehouse. Dr. Klemes is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. Dr. Klemes received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at Cabrini Medical Center in Manhattan, New York and an Endocrine and Metabolism Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Prior to joining MDVIP, Dr. Klemes worked at Procter & Gamble in the areas of personal healthcare, women’s health and digestive wellness and served as North American Medical Director for bone health. She spent 10 years in private practice specializing in endocrinology and metabolism in Tallahassee, Florida. In addition, Dr. Klemes held leadership roles with the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association and as Medical Director of the Diabetes Center in Tallahassee and Panama City, Florida, as well as Chief of the Department of Medicine at Tallahassee Community Hospital. She has been a consultant and frequent lecturer and has completed broad clinical research in diabetes and osteoporosis and published extensively.
Bernard Kaminetsky, MD, FACP
Medical Director
Prior to joining the MDVIP executive team, Dr. Kaminetsky was a founding partner in a primary care practice based in Boca Raton, Florida and now serves as a national spokesperson for MDVIP. He was the second physician to open an MDVIP-affiliated practice, and he is the first physician to participate in the MDVIP physician retirement program. Dr. Kaminetsky is a passionate advocate for preventive care and wellness on the federal level, having testified before the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress. Dr. Kaminetsky is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a former assistant professor at New York University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and served as Chief Resident during his internal medicine residency at Bellevue-New York University. Dr. Kaminetsky is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
Roy R. Harris, Jr.
General Counsel
Roy Harris has been an integral part of the MDVIP management team since 2003. Prior to joining MDVIP, Mr. Harris was an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Broad and Cassel as a member of the firm’s Health Law Practice Group. Additionally, Mr. Harris has lectured students, attorneys and healthcare providers on various health law topics. He received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Florida. Mr. Harris is a magna cum laude graduate of the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center which he attended as a Goodwin Academic Scholar.
Matthew Hashem
Chief Financial Officer
Matt Hashem has held various senior financial management positions in the biotechnology, software and high-technology hardware fields. Prior to joining MDVIP, Mr. Hashem served as the Director of Finance of the biotechnology firm U.S. Genomics, Inc. and spent six years at KPMG LLP where he served as an audit manager. Mr. Hashem is a cum laude graduate from the business school at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in accounting. Mr. Hashem has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1997.
Dan Behroozi
Executive Vice President, Business Development & Operations
Dan Behroozi has extensive experience in brand management, innovation, operations and technical experience with Procter & Gamble where he held a number of leadership positions in both the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Behroozi manages the aquisition and transition of MDVIP-affiliated physicians and patients from a traditional practice setting to the MDVIP model. His team focuses on customer service and operational efficiency to deliver highly personalized patient care while maximizing revenue for each practice. Mr. Behroozi also manages the relationship of the rapidly growing number of MDVIP-affiliated members and physicians nationally. Prior to joining MDVIP, he successfully launched new P&G brands while facilitating the growth and expansion of mature brands. Mr. Behroozi led P&G into several new consumer health categories through innovative partnership and investment approaches. He also provided executive consulting services to CEOs of small cap publicly traded companies and was directly responsible for identifying new investors in multiple financing rounds. Prior to P&G, he spent several years as a practicing electrical engineer at Siemens. Mr. Behroozi received his Electrical Engineering and Management degree from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
Steven M. Cohen
Executive Vice President, Insurance Services
Steve Cohen has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has held executive positions at several major healthcare organizations. He was President and CEO of HIP Healthplan of Florida, one of the largest HMOs in the state, Chief Operating Officer at HIP Healthplan of New York, Director of Finance and Administration at Cigna Healthplan of Northern New Jersey and New York, and Director of the New York Regional Health Care Consulting Practice for Coopers & Lybrand. Prior to these positions, Mr. Cohen served in a number of financial and administrative positions in large hospitals in the New York metropolitan area. Mr. Cohen is a CPA licensed by the state of New York and holds a master's degree in healthcare administration.
Brian Rensing
Chief Information Officer
Brian Rensing is the Chief Information Officer and firmly believes that to be meaningful, technology must create deeper connections between MDVIP and its members. He brings to MDVIP a unique ability to deliver solutions that connect to a broader vision of empowering consumers, physicians and employees to lead healthier, more vibrant lives. Prior to joining MDVIP, Mr. Rensing spent 13 years leading business transformation initiatives at Procter & Gamble and The Gillette Company. Mr. Rensing also has extensive consulting experience in consumer packaged goods and high tech. Mr. Rensing received his JD and MBA from Suffolk University in Boston and a BA in Philosophy from Gordon College in Wenham, MA.
