I’ve been a patient of Robert’s for 25+ years. I remember walking in the old office on Peachtree and seeing the landscape photographs hanging in the waiting room that looked like the only thing missing in each one was either a four wheel drive Jeep or a howling wolf. Then after meeting Dr. Coney and hearing of his passion for the outdoors, hiking and photography it all made sense, my wife had recommended a “tree hugger” that weighs 90lbs soaking wet to be my new healthcare beacon of hope. Of course he’s a charming and wonderful physician that over the years has become as much a father confessor as an internist but there is never a visit when he wouldn’t tell me that I need to lose 50 lbs. I’d say how about 20 and he’d settle for 25. Every trip it was a different reason like heart, sugar, smoking, etc and every time it was .....hey, just count 1800 calories a day, eat more fruits and veggies and exercise as much as possible. Really Robert, medical school and 25 years of practice and that’s all you have? Fruits and veggies. So the final thought here is that after every great physical and every good test comes back.....it’s never hey, nice job, but you know you could stand to lose 50 lbs , how about 20, ok 25! You are a good man doctor and we hope you’ll be practicing for years to come.
