Dr. Stillson was first my dad's doctor, then my mom's, then my dad's brother, then me, then my husband, then most of my 6 siblings and thier spouses and kids. And WOW! We alll loved him...for his personality his diagnostic expertise, his kindness, his smarts, his medical decision-making for treatment, his dedication to all of us. The decision to join him in MDVIP took me about two seconds, even though I am not a heay user of services and am generally healthy. What I love most is how well he knows me, gets me, how he understands what I will do to comply with medical advice and where I will bump up against my own inner obstalces (do I really have to take a statin?). i love how he knows my famliy, so when I say, "my son did this," or "my brother said that," he knows exactly what I mean. When my Dad was dying of a blood disorder, he expalined it all to me. When my mother suffered twelve years of dementia, he listened as I talked about that disease and my role as care giver. His support goes beyond "diagnose and treat." He's been holding my hand through my husband's series of illnesses and saved my son from some super serious twenty-something trouble. I respect his mind, his heart and his sense of humor.
