Discovery of heart issue

I have been going to Dr. Jennifer Walden-Fain for about 4 years. I have a heart murmur since i was 4 years old. About 1 1/2 years ago during a routine yearly exam she noticed a difference in the sound of my murmur. She did an in-office EKG and decided to refer me to a cardiologist. It was discovered that my heart was bi-cuspid a faulty valve. During a heart cath it was discovered that i also had an enlarged extended aorta. I had no symptoms of any heart issues. I had very successful open heart surgery last September. It was Dr. Walden-Fains astute awareness of a new patients heart rhythms that led to a life saving surgery for me.
