I have been a patient of Dr. Lowell for over thirty five years. When I was first diagnosed with Type Two Diabetes, my wife did a lot of research to find a doctor that was best suited to deal with this. She found Dr. Lowell. Over the years we have had good results in maintains this disease. About a year and a half ago I paid a routine visit to Dr. Lowell. He asked how I was feeling. I told him I felt like crap. Upon hearing this and asking me to expand on what I was feeling, he sprang from behind his desk and came back with two of his staff. He immediately began running tests and upon reviewing the results, he called ahead to a cardiologist colleague and had his staff escort me there. The cardiologist performed a number of tests and mris of the heart. He immediately referred me to the Head of Cardiology at St Francis hospital. The end result was that I needed three stents in blocked arteries. Did Dr. Lowell save my life? He sure as hell did. It was his quick action and understanding of what I was experiencing that led to further treatment. This is the medical side of Dr. Lowell. Let me tell you about the compassionate side of the man. My wife who found him initially, ultimately developed Alzheimer’s. When I had to go to his office for visits, I had no one to tend to my wife. I took her with me. Dr Lowell, his wife Diane and his entire staff made sure she was taken care of while I was in with the Doctor. Dr. Lowell has offered me advice on a personal level as to ways I could help my wife. For this I will be eternally greatful.. He is not only my Doctor , he is my friend and moral support. What more can you say about a man who cares, understands and has genuine feelings for the concerns of his patients. That’s my Dr. Lowell
